Rapid progress in the Tolpanvaara Wind Farm

A new wind farm of 13 wind turbines executed by InfraBuilders is going up in Pudasjärvi, Finland.

The construction work of the wind farm to be built in the Tolpanvaara-Iso-Teirivaara area between Siiviko and Puhos is already well underway.

“The roads and grounds of the project started in the spring are nearing completion. Cabling and foundation castings will be started soon,” says CEO of Infra Builders Ville Pesonen.

The planning and permit process of the Tolpanvaara wind farm started years ago. An environmental impact assessment was performed for the project in 2012-2013. The land use plan was approved in 2017.

Actual construction work was allowed to start in the spring of 2022. The finish line of the project is almost in sight.

“The work will mostly be completed by the end of the year,” Pesonen says.
